The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will both feature Samsung's 11-megapixel Isocell 3J1 sensor in its front-facing'selfie' cameras, according to leakCourtesy of Android developer and leaker Kuba Wojciechowski. The Isocell 3J1 includes Samsung's 'Smart WDR' technology for improved dynamic range, as well as dual-pixel autofocus for improved focusing and face-authentication performance.
📸 I have obtained info about camera hardware configurations on several upcoming Google Pixel devices. While this isn't as important as Google's software - obviously - it still reveals some interesting changes. Thread 🧵👇 pic.twitter.com/sPCcT6WjPa

This combination is a drastic change from the identical Pixel 6 model, where the Pro model has the same 11-megapixel sensor as the non-Pro model, but with worse image quality and no 4K selfie videos.
According to the same source, both Pixel 7 versions will have the same rear camera sensor as the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro - Samsung's 50-megapixel Isocell GN1 for the primary lens and a Sony IMX381 for the ultrawide lens Is. The telephoto sensor on the Pixel 7 Pro has been replaced by a Sony IMX586 rather of the similar-spec Isocell GM1 present in the existing Pixel 6 Pro.
The gadget is codenamed 'Lynx - L10' after an undisclosed Google device spotted by Wojciechowski, and it sports the 50-megapixel Isocell GN1 again, but this time combined with a new 64-megapixel Sony IMX787 as seen on ZTE's newest Found in Axon released in 40 Ultra. The front-facing camera in the Lynx L10 is said to employ the unannounced Sony IMX712 sensor. This suggests that Google is finally working on a gadget that combines cutting-edge camera technology with their already stellar image processing software. It remains to be seen if it will ever be commercialised.

Finally, Google's code indicates a new Pixel tablet T6 with two 8-megapixel Sony IMX355 sensors, as well as a new 'P7' gadget, which is likely to be a foldable smartphone with 11-megapixel cameras.
These unannounced facts were gleaned from language found in Google's own recently published code, as is typically the case with such leaks. This time, though, essential information has been purposefully disguised to make it more difficult for leakers like Wojciechowski to locate unpublished specs. This clearly shows that Google wanted to keep this information hidden for an extended period of time.
The Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are set to be released in October of this year.
