How to delete your Tinder account permanently or deactivate it temporarily.

While you may use Tinder for a while, most people do not want to rely on the app indefinitely. You'll eventually find a match, get into a relationship, and no longer want to receive likes and messages from other people.

If you're ready to stop using Tinder, there are two options for deactivating your dating profile: You can either hide your profile from the app's Discovery section temporarily or delete your account permanently.

1. How to hide your Tinder account temporarily

To prevent potential matches from seeing your profile, you can easily hide your account from Tinder's Discovery section. This way, your account will remain active in case you decide to reactivate it in the future.

Step 1 : Launch the Tinder app and tap the profile icon in the top left corner of                       iOS or the bottom right corner of Android.

Step 2 : Go to your profile page and select Settings.

Step 3 :  In the Discovery section, swipe to the left to disable Show me on Tinder.

Even after you turn off discovery, you may continue to receive messages because your profile is still visible to anyone who has already matched with you.

2. How to Delete Your Tinder Account

If you are certain that you will not use your account or chat with any matches you have made in the Tinder app, you can permanently delete your account, which will also delete all matches and chats you have stored in the app.

• Step 1 : Launch the Tinder app and tap the profile icon in the top left corner of iOS or the bottom right corner of Android.
• Step 2 : Go to your profile page and select Settings.
• Step 3 : Tap Delete Account at the very bottom of the page.

• Step 4 : On the Pause My Account page, you will have the option to pause your account rather than delete it. Select Delete My Account.
• Step 5 : Confirm once more that you want to delete the account. Tinder will also ask you why you are deleting your account, which you can choose to answer or ignore.
