How to screenshot an HP laptop is described in this article. The guidelines work with Windows 10 and 11.
In Windows, take a screenshot using the keyboard.
The keyboard can be used in a number of different ways to snap screenshots. The majority of techniques call you to paste and save the screen grab in your preferred picture editor.
1. Screenshot to Clipboard Save
To copy the current screen to the clipboard, press the Prt Sn (Print Screen) button. It is located close to the Insert and Delete buttons in the top row of your keyboard, on the far right. - Take a Screenshot of a Section
Press Windows key+Shift+S at the same time. You can grab a portion of the screen by dragging your cursor over it. The clipboard will be saved with the selected section. - the active window be captured
The active window can be copied to the clipboard by pressing Alt+Prt Sc. There won't be any evidence that the capture actually took place.
2. How to Use the Snipping Tool to Take a Screenshot
In Windows, advanced options for taking and editing screenshots are available in Snipping Tool.
- Search for Snipping Tools in the Start Menu, then choose the application to launch it.

2. Choose the type of selection you want to utilize from the Mode option. Select Full screen to record the complete screen. Additionally, you can select a rectangle area, a single window, or draw a unique shape.

3. To begin your screen capture, select New.

4. The screenshot will be opened in a new window by Snipping Tool, where you can use the tools at the top to annotate and highlight it before saving it.

5. Select the floppy disc icon to save.

tip: Additionally, there are Windows screenshot programmes from third parties that provide extra editing capabilities.
3. Snip & Sketch on Windows 10: How to Use
The Snip & Sketch app is also available for Windows 10. This is how to apply it:
- Click the Start menu with the window or screen you want to capture open.

2. Use the search bar to look up Snip & Sketch, then pick it from the list of results.

3. At the top of the screen, a menu will show up. To take a screenshot of the entire image, which appears as a rectangle with marks in each corner, choose option four.
note: The other choices allow you to draw a rectangle to capture, create a freeform shape, or take control of the currently open window.

4. Regardless of how you capture the screen, Windows will add it to the clipboard and save the folder and display a notification. To access a customization window, click the notification (which also includes a thumbnail of the screen you just captured).

5. Using the tools at the top of the window, you may crop, mark up, and highlight the image.

6. Click the Save icon to save the screenshot.

7. Select Save after deciding on a file name, file type, and location for your saved screenshot in the next box.

HP left the tablet market in 2011, but if you still have one, you may take a screenshot by pressing Power + Volume Down. Screenshots can be found in the Photos app.
