Huawei debuted the TalkBand B1, a smart band that also functioned as a Bluetooth earpiece, in 2014. Since then, the TalkBand has gone through several versions, but the firm has disclosed that it is working on something more beautiful - the Huawei Watch Buds.
The name is self-explanatory, but here is an official teaser video. A real circular wristwatch with two built-in headphones. That looks more elegant than the TalkBand and is also more practical, as you can listen to music (the band's single earpiece is inconvenient).

The watch also serves as a charging case for the buds. Pause the video at the 6 second point to see icons of the buds with a lightning sign underneath them.
With smartwatches already struggling with battery life, how much energy can be spared for earbuds, especially when those buds take up a significant portion of the internal volume? We can't answer that yet, but a YouTube video claims to have obtained the Huawei Watch Buds and provides a sneak glimpse.
Given that it also serves as a casing for TWS buds, the watch is fairly bulky. The frame is claimed to be constructed of steel, while the strap is made of leather. The watch is "Powered by HarmonyOS" and looks similar to the Huawei Watch 3.
The Huawei Watch Buds will be formally presented in December, and they will not be alone - Huawei also has a watch for children. The business released a teaser image with an intriguing design.
The watch is removable from the wrist strap by a pair of clips and appears to have two faces: one with a full colour display and the other with an old-school LCD. This will improve battery life (and sunlight readability) while still providing full smartwatch functionality with a fast flip.

There are two cameras on board as well. One of these isn't uncommon on a child's watch; it allows mom and dad to check in via video call. A second camera is occasionally incorporated for taking photographs and movies, although framing a shot with something strapped to your wrist is inconvenient. The removable design will be quite useful in this aspect.
In addition, the Huawei Kids Watch 5X series will be revealed in December.
